Our board & train programs are the most efficient training support we have on offer for our dog owners and their dogs
We believe that it is crucial for owners to be included in their dog’s training. However, some dogs require more skill and time than the average dog owner can dedicate to their dog’s training. We do understand that some issues are much harder for the average owner to work on, and this is why we offer our board & train programs
The board & train programs start with a 90-120 minute assessment session*, where we go through everything the dog is currently struggling with, the goal the owners have for the dog’s training, and what can realistically be achieved. We explain how the dog will be trained to make sure there is absolute transparency and clarity on all sides
While the dog is staying with us, the owners receive regular updates on the training applied, as well as the progress and development the dog is going through. It is crucial for us that the owners understand the work applied to their dog, become familiar with the terminology and the techniques applied. In order to create long lasting change, training and handling has to continue to be in line with the training applied during the board and train
After the board & train program, we offer an extensive go home session. Owners are asked to free up half a day for the go home session on pick up day, as we will personally coach the owners on all handling and management recommended going forward
Which program suits your & your dogs’ needs?
Programs offered range from 4 weeks to 6 weeks, depending on the goals you have for you and your dog:
4 weeks:
Our 4 weeks program is great for any dog that needs to learn manners, as well as basic obedience, leash walking, and recall. During our stay with us, your dog receives daily training sessions, exposure, and socialization. This program is great for young dogs, as well as former rescues who have not learned to navigate life with humans very well yet. The 4 weeks program is not suitable for dogs with behaviour issues
6 weeks:
Our 6 weeks program is suitable for dogs with mild to moderate behaviour issues like reactivity, aggression, fear, anxiety, insecurities etc. All dogs in this program are receiving foundational training on manners and general obedience, leash walking and recall, as well as extensive work on drive switching, a calm/relaxed mindset, behaviour modification, counter conditioning and desensitization, socialization, exposure, as well as targeted work around their triggers

All programs are adjusted to each dog’s needs and abilities, with a varying amount of exposure training to the different triggers your dog struggles with, confidence building, leash walking, general and advanced obedience, exercise in the form of running next to a bike, a longboard, or on a treadmill, pack walks and play sessions. The amount of training per day as well as the schedule will individually be adjusted to your dogs resilience, ability to learn new things, as well as mental and physical state. It is important for us that each day finishes with a positive success for your dog and your dog does not get overtrained while experiencing growth each day
Our 6 weeks weeks program is highly recommend for dogs that are currently displaying leash reactivity, are fearful, require careful exposure to triggers like other dogs, humans, etc., severe cases of leash pulling, recall and general obedience

BOARD & TRAIN BUDGET.
What will I have to budget for the board and train program?
While your dog is with us, your dog receives training and care 7 days a week around the clock. Included in the price is the pre-boarding assessment of 90-120 minutes, an extensive go home session (half day), as well as any additional supplements or training food recommended by the trainer / required for their behavioural / health support during their stay
(regular food, supplements and/or medication if applicable have to be provided by the owners at drop off)
The cost for the program is CAD 3,900* (price includes gst) for the 4 weeks program, and CAD 5,900* (price includes gst) for the 6 weeks program
*training tools that are introduced to your dog during the program, which we recommend to be used after completion of the program, are not included in the price
